Udy Ntia is a visionary energy leader with over 20 years of experience delivering value across the upstream oil and gas sector. As Executive Vice President, Upstream at NNPC Limited, he is at the forefront of transforming Nigeria’s upstream operations, spearheading innovation, sustainability, and strategic growth initiatives that have delivered about 200kbd increase in average oil production within one year.

He holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, supplemented by advanced certifications and executive programs from top-tier global institutions. Udy’s expertise spans Project and Business Management, Strategy Execution, Asset Development, Operations and Maintenance, Subsurface and Surface Engineering, and Integrated Logistics. 

Before joining NNPC Limited in November 2024, Udy enjoyed a distinguished career at ExxonMobil, where he served in leadership roles across the United States and Nigeria. Known for his strategic insight and operational excellence, he successfully led initiatives that boosted production performance, streamlined processes, enhanced asset value, and empowered diverse, high-performing teams. 

A committed professional, Udy is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He is widely respected for his ability to lead complex, high-impact projects, foster cross-functional collaboration, and drive sustainable success in a dynamic global energy landscape.
