Mohamed Bailor Stevens
Mohamed is a lawyer with over a decade’s experience in the energy and mining sectors. He currently serves as Legal Counsel at the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF) an institution part of the African Development Bank Group, where he advises and coordinates energy and mining projects in multiple jurisdictions across Africa.
Mohamed contributes to several high-level initiatives. He currently serves Chairman of the Editorial Board for the Journal for International Investment and Extractives Industry Law in Africa. He also serves a member of the Steering Committee for Investing in Mining Indaba, and as a member of a multistakeholder group in charge of advancing the African Green Minerals Framework. His professional experience spans Africa, Asia and Europe.
He holds two Master of Laws (LL.M) degrees in Oil and Gas Law and Policy and International Dispute Resolution and Management from the University of Dundee’s Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP). In addition, he earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law School of Sierra Leone and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from BPP Law School, England and Wales.
