Hugues Yapo is an energy executive with almost two decades (18+ years) of experience in the oil and gas sector across West and Central Africa.

He currently serves at Halliburton as Country Manager for Côte d’Ivoire and Sénégal, where he oversees multi-country operations, strategic growth, and service delivery across complex offshore developments.

He has led the execution of major energy projects supporting national production goals, while driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and local content development. His leadership includes full P&L responsibility, multi-million-dollar contract delivery, and the management of large cross-functional teams across diverse markets.

Mr. Yapo holds an Executive MBA from IMD Business School and completed the Advanced Management Program delivered jointly by MDE Business School (Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire) and IESE Business School (Barcelona, Spain). He is fluent in French and English and committed to advancing sustainable and responsible energy development in Africa.
