Emeka C. Ene is the CEO of the Oida Group, which includes the Oida Energy Limited, Xenergi Limited, Xenoil and Enugu Industrial Park Free Zone (Enpower FTZ). He is the immediate past Chairman (E&P Committee) of the International Gas Union (IGU) for the 2022 2025 triennium, the Vice Chairman (E&P Committee) of the International Gas Union (IGU) for the 2019 2022 triennium, a past director on the board of the World Free Zones Organization (WorldFZO), a member of the Institute of Directors, Nigeria and serves on the boards of other companies in the Oil and Gas industry.

Emeka has also served in various capacities on a voluntary basis locally. He is the immediate past Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Nigeria Council, a past Chairman of the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN), past Chairman of SPE Port Harcourt Section 103 and was a member of the Presidential Task Force on Refineries reform in Nigeria.

As part of contribution to the body of technical knowledge and best practices in the energy industry, he has published several technical papers and made presentations in the areas of trade and entrepreneurship, Local content, Rigless well intervention, Reservoir Monitoring, Well Conformance Technology and Natural Gas Processing. The paper on the Implementation of methane gathering and abatement project leveraging carbon financing won him and his team the WGC 2025 regional gas award (Africa) by the International Gas Union.

Emeka pioneered the launch of the MIND AFRICA Foundation (www.mindafrica.org), a non-profit initiative working with rural children ages 10 to 15 years. MIND is involved in developing leadership and life-long learning, computer based education and hands-on skills
