Adeolu Olufemi Adeyemi who prefers to be called Femi, is a seasoned Digital Transformation Leader and Enterprise Architect with over 30 years of global experience driving technology modernization, cyber resilience, and strategic digital initiatives within the Energy sector. He currently serves as the General Manager, Information and Digital Technology (IDT) at Renaissance Africa Energy Company, where he leads enterprise-wide technology strategy, digital transformation programs, directs large teams (50–300 staff plus vendors) and manages technology budgets exceeding $25M+ annually.  
 

Femi’s career spans multiple continents - Africa, Asia and Australia, where he has consistently delivered large-scale transformation outcomes for complex, asset-intensive organizations. Known for aligning technology investments with board-level business objectives, he has led multi-million-dollar portfolios, managed large cross-functional teams, and built high‑performance technology organizations across diverse operational environments. 

Throughout his career, Femi has championed initiatives that position technology as a strategic business enabler. His leadership track record includes cloud modernization, SAP S/4HANA ERP transformations, enterprise data platform development, and cybersecurity maturity uplift, achieving compliance with global standards. He is also recognized for introducing AI, analytics, and automation capabilities that enhanced operational efficiency and improved decision-making across upstream oil and gas business units. 

Before joining Renaissance Africa Energy Company, Femi held senior leadership roles at Shell plc, where he held many roles including: 

  • Country Manager Information and Digital Technology, Nigeria, 

  • Queensland Gas Company IT Manager, Australia 

  • GM Capital Projects IT/IM Africa 

  • Subsurface IT Lead, Brunei 

Where he developed and coordinated execution of IT strategies and plans, modernised infrastructure and coordinated data Management for Engineering and Production lines of business amongst other accomplishments. 

Femi holds an MBA from the University of Strathclyde and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University. His professional interests include digital modernization, governance, and using technology and data-driven insights to advance operational excellence in the energy industry.
